Werkz has been striving to provide the widest selection of light bearing holsters possible. With customers running a huge variety of pistols, we wanted a way to serve you more quickly. While we wanted a holster that fit the widest variety of less-mainstream (or "outlier" pistols, if you will), we didn't want to sacrifice quality fit, feel, and "click-in" retention. To accomplish this end, we designed clearance for a variety of pistol frames and slides, but focused on a precise light fit. We have heard from customers that they don't want to have to fiddle with multiple elastic retention points, or end up with a product that allows so much pistol movement that weapon lights will turn on inside the holster. We accomplished all this and more in the Outlier.

This "universal holster" or "multi-fit holster" will allow you to run any one of a huge variety of pistols, whether hammer or striker fired. The holster is designed to cover all major manufacturer trigger guards, and clear many magazine releases. One potential advantage of the generous slide and frame clearance as that wear on your pistol's slide may be reduced versus tightly fitting holsters.

The Outlier holsters will allow a little more "twist" and "rock" than our holsters designed for a specific pistol model. This is due to the extra clearance provided for many different slide heights and widths. As with all holsters, you must test and verify suitability for your gear and mission.

Is this holster compatible with aftermarket accessories (Safariland, G-Code)?
Yes. The M7 comes ready to use with the Werkz Belt Slide, but it is also compatible with a wide range of industry-standard attachments, including Safariland (QLS, UBL, Paddle, Injection Molded Belt Loop) and G-Code (Hanger #39) accessories.

How high does the holster ride?
This holster rides about an inch and a half higher than some of the other holsters that use Safariland accessories. Our included belt slide attachment places the holster at a standard height, but the Safariland paddle does place the holster into a high-ride position. This can be mitigated by using a drop adapter.

Will this holster retain my pistol without the light attached?
No. Please refer to our safety information.

Is this holster compatible with red dots?
Yes. The M7 is compatible with a wide range of optics.

What other common pistol modifications are compatible with this holster?
The M7 often supports suppressor-height sights, threaded barrels, and compensators. However, you must verify proper fit and function. Please refer to our safety information.

Is this holster concealable?
Yes, under the right conditions. The M7 is best suited for open carry but can be concealed under a jacket or loose shirt. The holster has built-in cant to reduces printing, and the Werkz Belt Slide allows you to dial in more (or less) cant as you see fit.

What positions can I wear this holster in?
The M7 is designed for outside-the-waistband on the hip. However, accessories from Werkz LLC or other companies designed to fit the Safariland pattern include drop holsters, thigh rigs, chest rigs, MOLLE attachments, allowing you to adapt this holster to a number of carry positions.

What is the standard cant on this holster?
The M7 has 5 degrees of positive (forward) cant for a better draw. The Werkz Belt Slide (included) allows for you to adjust cant positively or negatively to suit your particular carry style.

Does this holster have active duty retention?
No. This holster has passive click-in retention.

How can I adjust retention?
Retention is adjusted using the retention adjustment screws.

Why should I carry a light on my gun?
Because many self-defense encounters happen in darkness or low-light. With a light on your gun, you're prepared to defend those you love, day or night.

What is it like to draw my firearm with this holster?
Fast and smooth. The trigger guard is undercut, so you can get a full grip on your pistol and get on target quickly.

How long should I expect this holster to last?
This holster is a robust piece of equipment, made from the highest-quality materials. Unlike leather or soft synthetics, it can be washed with soap and lukewarm water. With proper care and use, your holster will last as long as you want. Just be sure to:

• Avoid excessive heat exposure (stovetops, radiators, dashboards in direct sunlight, etc.)
• Use the correct pistol and light in your holster.
