Are M-Series Holsters Built Different than Custom Holsters?

We are sometimes asked whether our M-series holsters can be made with just a slightly different combination of features, essentially offering the huge selection of pistols and accessories that we can offer on our custom holsters. The M-series difference is in how the holsters are designed and built. All M-series holsters, even those for the exact same pistol but in a different hand orientation, utilize a unique mold. These molds are made after 3d scanning the pistol and designing the mold in CAD. We then cut the mold on a CNC machine, test it, then put it into production. Every time a customer contacts us and lets us know they want something particular, this helps us determine which features are more attractive to customers, and which pistols they need gear for. However, given our backlog of designs, we may not be able to get to your specific need using a M-series holster. We prioritize based upon pistol and accessory popularity to come up with new designs that will satisfy the needs of the greatest number of customers. So, if you ask for a design for a new M-series holster, we'll likely respond in one of three ways.

  1. 1. We are working on it currently or have it planned shortly. Please check back in a couple weeks.
  2. 2. We will add this to our queue (or it's already in our queue). This does not mean we are committing to build the design, but that we are aware of the need, and will be looking at building it in the future.
  3. 3. We do not forsee the ability to add this to our queue. This is often for items that are not high enough volume to justify the work necessary to build the holster. However, if you want to arrange a group buy of 10 of the holsters (which can sometimes be accomplished through forums, through department buys, or similar), we may be able to design the holster for you.

In most cases, we can build for your pistol combination in an Origin or Bisect 2.0, so we can often provide a holster option for your needs, but not necessarily with the M-series features.
